Musical instruments
We have been learning about how the pitch and loudness of an instrument can be altered. We have learnt that a sound with a high frequency will make a high-pitched sound, and one with a low frequency will make a low-pitched sound. The frequency of a sound is the measure of the number of vibrations made per second. We then played a range of musical instruments to observe this and to experiment playing them loudly and quietly. We then designed our own instruments which would change both their pitch and how loudly they could be played.
